Autistic Boy Gang Beaten, Robbed, Kidnapped

A 16-year-old Saint Paul, MN, boy with autism was gang beaten, handcuffed, robbed, kidnapped and finally shot in the face with a bb gun at point blank range by three adults and two teens.

Tiffany Ann Clock, 21, Anthony Martin Ramos, 24, and Trenton Eugene Johnson, 22, were each charged with one count of aggravated first-degree robbery and kidnapping for the purpose to terrorize. Two other defendants in the case, ages 17 and 15, were likewise charged in juvenile court.

The 16-year-old victim remains unidentified to protect him.

One of the teens lured the victim to a secluded area where the five surprised the victim and then took turns repeatedly punching, beating and knocking down the disabled boy. They also stole his CD player, camera, phone and money.

While beating him the five were also telling him they knew where he lived and would “return and hurt him and his family” according to the criminal complaint on file at the Ramsey County courthouse.

Anthony Ramos allegedly then shot the victim in the cheek and the left side of his head with a BB gun at point blank range. After a few more threats to his family, the group then reportedly “made the victim run around in circles and laugh out loud” according to the complaint.

The five finally left their victim face down in the snow bleeding. The complaint states that he told police that “up until he was shot with the BB gun he thought the gun was a real gun and he thought he would die.”

The following video is a local media report of the incident:

“This was an outrageous attack on a most vulnerable victim. This office will prosecute these cases vigorously,” said Ramsey County Attorney John Choi.

Each felony count carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. No word is available on the condition of the 16-year-old victim.

Shopkeeper Miraculously Catches Boy Falling off Escalator – Caught on Video

A heroic Shopkeeper miraculously catches a boy falling off the top of an escalator in the Basaksehir shopping center on the West side of Istanbul, Turkey, and the action is all caught on video.

The four-year-old boy and his father were shopping at the mall, when the boy began climbing on the outside of the escalator. Of course, children shouldn’t climb on either the inside or the outside of the escalator, but the outside can be more dangerous.

In the slideshow above, the boy is highlighted in red and the heroic shopkeeper is highlighted in yellow. The first photo, where the red circle is toward the top of the photo, shows the boy after he has “ridden” the outside of the escalator and has reached the top while hanging onto it from the outside.

Ali Apari, the heroic shopkeeper, had followed the lad as he rode up on the outside of the escalator, putting himself into a perfect position to perform his heroics.

Once our adventurous lad had reached the summit, he unfortuitously lost his grip on the hand rail and tumbled backward off the escalator toward the unforgiving floor below. But the heroic Ali had prudently secured a spot on that very same floor beneath the lad, and lay in wait of the wayward boy.

As the lad plummeted toward what may very well have been his doom, Ali snatched him from mid-air preventing what would surely have been a tragic ending.

The second photo was taken as the boy is falling in mid-air. Again the boy is highlighted in red and Ali is highlighted in yellow. In this photo the red circle is closer to the middle of the photo. You can see Ali is reaching his arms up to catch the lad, who is almost within Ali’s grasp.

The boy fell from a height of about 15 feet, so at the very least he would have broken some bones. The very worst might have been quite a sad tragedy.

The Washington Post reported that at the time of the incident the boy was waiting for his father, who was shopping.
